Dear colleagues, I am an associate professor at UCSB, on research leave during the summer 2024 (June 15-September 15). If you are looking for a spacious apartment in the heart of Santa Barbara, mine is available from June to Septiember 2024. The AP is on the first floor of a colonial/Spanish-style two-store building at Downtown Santa Barbara (a five-minute walk from State Street and a 10-minute walk from central beaches and harbor). The community is mostly formed by young/middle-aged professionals, many of them related to UCSB. The place has plenty of windows and is fully furnished with essentials (a queen-size bed, comfortable large sofa, large 56' TV, gas stove, refrigerator, plenty of closets, dining table, and office desk. The rent includes gas, internet and electricity (that means, all utilities included). The monthly rent is $ 2750 but I am charging $1750 on the basis that the person will take care of my belongs and water my plants. If you are interested, do not hesitate in contacting me. There is also a large garage where you can store 'some' of your belongings if you are looking for a place while transitioning to Santa Barbara.
