We are renting our lovely one bedroom flat in Camberwell (zone 2). It is located in a small 1950s apartment block on the most beautiful, leafy street in South London. The flat is well designed and recently refurbished. It has its own private entrance at street level and its own private patio garden. The block is surrounded by well kept communal gardens with mature trees and an allotment area for those with green thumbs. It is extremely well located, just blocks from the train station with speedy connections to London Victoria (9 mins), Blackfriars (10 mins) for Tate Modern and the Southbank, St Pancras (20 mins) for the British Library, Clapham Junction (14 mins) and Shoreditch High Street (25 mins). Kings College Hospital is a 5 min walk away, we are a short bus ride away from Goldsmiths. For KCL, UCL, LSE the bus journey takes 30 mins. The southbank is just over 3 miles away. The flat feels open and light with large windows in all the rooms and oak floors throughout. There's a fully equipped kitchen with a foldable breakfast table and plenty of counterspace (that you don't quite see in the photos). The living room has room to dine - the table extends from 2-6 seats. This is also a great place to work. In the living room there is also a comfy lounge area with a double sofa and armchair. The bedroom is peaceful and cosy. The bathroom is brand new and includes a good powerful shower over the tub. The private patio garden has a table and chairs, a sun shade, a webber bbq, roses, seasonal plants and a view of the surrounding trees. All furnishings, linens, kitchenware, glassware etc. will be included. Ample storage space will be made available to tenants. Camberwell is a really cool neighbourhood with an artsy vibe. Award winning restaurants can be found at the bottom of our road where there are also plenty of craft beer pubs, a gourmet pizzeria, coffee shops, markets, grocers and bakers. Camberwell boasts a good gym, a swimming pool, tennis courts and a yoga studio and a smart new public library - all within a 5 minute walk of the flat. Trendy Peckham is less than 15 minutes walk away through peaceful tree-lined streets. There you will find more hip restaurants, a fantastic butchers, brunch places, pubs etc. There are plenty of parks within walking distance too. We have lovely neighbours including many academics - in fact we have 5 London universities represented in our block alone (Goldsmiths, SOAS, RHUL, KCL, University of Roehampton)!
